So I’m teaching you about manifestation and magnetism. That’s my jam. I’ve been on my journey learning how to pull things into my orbit with nothing but the love in my heart for over 20 years now. But what is magnetism? I guess if I’m going to be teaching you about it, I should probably tell you what it is. Becoming magnetic is a process of personal evolution put into practice to facilitate conscious creation for our lives. The underlying idea is that what we desire to experience is brought into being energetically, by us and for us, through the inner alignment with the frequencies that the experiences exist on, since we live in an electromagentic universe
This post begins to explain how becoming magnetic is an energetic creation process, and what frequency and vibration have to do with us attracting our desired experiences.
The process of becoming magnetic involves methods of consciousness and deliberateness, as well as inner transformation and personal evolution that always comes back to self-love and self-worth at its core. To become magnetic we need to shift our limiting beliefs and how we perceive the world around us. For the framework of how magnetism works, first I’m laying some solid foundations backed by science, and then I’ll move into more detail about the role you play in pulling in a new version of your reality.
Ready? LFG…
First up, let’s talk about the “woowoo” stuff!
Before I start presenting you with concepts that could be dismissed as ‘woowoo’, ‘weird’ or ‘invalid’ — because let’s face it, magnetism and manifestation hast mostly just existed in ‘spiritual’ communities until recently — I’m going to show you where science is supporting our ability to magnetise as human beings. I’ll begin by going back to something I learnt in primary school science class, and then lightly touch on some newer scientific discoveries in more recent times.
Disclaimer: I am working to keep your attention for the duration of the post, so while I am here to teach and guide you, the information on magnetism is much too vast to go into in detail in one already lengthy post, but if you can’t wait for more from me, you are most welcome to conduct your own excavations into truth with your own research.
So… magnetism.
Let’s begin with ‘E=mc²’.
Einstein’s most famous equation. He said: “Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter.”
In plain English: everything from the stuff we can see and touch to the spaces in and around us, is energy. Some energy is vibrating at a slower rate, making it ‘more’ perceivable to our physical senses, while other energy vibrates faster, beyond our perceptible sensory range. Everything is energy. No matter ‘what’.
This is important for learning to become magnetic.
Quantum Physics
Then there’s quantum physics. Quantum physics studies the nature and behaviour of energy and matter on an atomic and subatomic level.
Physicists have found that atoms have no ‘physical’ structure, and that they’re made up of energetic vortices, each spinning and vibrating at unique energetic frequencies or signatures, not tangible matter. This includes our human bodies. This means we have no physical structure, and that other physical things have no physical structure. We are made of these atoms of energy vortices and frequencies, which are connected to everything else in life, vibrating at a unique density, making us connected to everything else.
This next part is how our capacity to magnetise what we desire fits in:
Quantum physics has also discovered that we create our own reality.
“A fundamental conclusion of the new physics also acknowledges that the observer creates the reality. As observers, we are personally involved with the creation of our own reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a “mental” construction. Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote: “The stream of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter.” — Richard Conn Henry, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University.
Scientists are admitting that the simple act of ‘observing’ changes the result of an experiment, as well as, that the observer and the observed are not separate. The observer influences the observed. For personal electromagnetics, this means we create our respective lives through how we make use of our minds, and that what we see is a direct result of what is going on within our minds.
The key to becoming magnetic to the things we desire lies in our observations, ie, our attention.
This is how our attention plays a role in our personal magnetics according to what science has come to discover:
Wave/Particle duality, in the context of creating our reality, is potentially the most significant concept. It’s also the contemplative basis of modern thought. “It is the defining characteristic of elementary physical entities, such as electrons, protons, neutrons, atoms, and molecules, which exist in states which evolve like waves when they are not observed, and evolve like particles when observed. When an observation is made, the wave-like state changes abruptly, discontinuously, and unpredictably, in a ‘quantum jump’. At a macro level, the process is seemingly ruled by chance alone, and so there is the potential for a true choice being made.”
With regards to attracting the things we want into our orbit, this means that where we apply our attention and consciously direct our thoughts, the smallest particles on the planet, which make up everything and everyone, respond in a distinctly different manner to when no awareness is brought to them.
This introduces the need for us to begin working with our thoughts more consciously since our thoughts affect everything around us, and because everything is made up of these tiny electrons, protons, atoms, and molecules. I have more information on this, but for now, I’ll just remind you that we are electro-magnetic beings. When we hold this in mind, the importance of becoming magnetic should become clear: Our thoughts become things.
And after quantum physics, there’s also metaphysics and noetic science.
Metaphysics
Metaphysics is the study of the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, identity, time, and space. These aspects of life only exist because humans brought attention to them. Without consciousness, or observation of them, they would not have come into being. Regardless, they are all concepts that were constructed by the human mind, that have been introduced upon a collective ‘agreed upon’ reality. Time is a human creation. Monday is only Monday because somebody felt the need to organise days into a cycle. Same with the months and years.
(Fun fact: did you know that our entire measurement of time is based on astrological cycles? The very names of the days of the week come from the planets in our solar system) The number of days in a year?? The number of degrees the sun takes to get from the first degree of the zodiac to the last degree of the zodiac and back to the first degree…. Happy new year!)
Noetic Science was coined in 1973 after Apollo 14 astronaut, Edgar Mitchell, came to a profound realisation while out in space that inspired him to begin a scientific study of interconnectedness and consciousness.
The experience led him to conclude that reality is more complex, subtle, and mysterious than conventional science had led him to believe. He believed “a deeper understanding of consciousness (inner space) could lead to a new and expanded understanding of reality in which objective and subjective, outer and inner, are understood as co-equal aspects of the miracle of being.” It was this intersection of knowledge systems that led Dr Mitchell to launch the interdisciplinary field of noetic sciences.
The conclusions to their experiments are mind-blowing. Go check out Institute of Noetic Science (IONS), and then go read about Dean Radin, IONS Chief Scientist. He has an extended biography on his website with some impressive credentials and endorsements.
On the opposite end of the spectrum from science, is Buddhism and other contemplative traditions, which also have observed that the observer is responsible for the creation of the world around them. The Dalai Lama, shared his perspective on ‘reality’ saying: “There are no subjects without the objects by which they are defined, there are no objects without subjects to apprehend them, there are no doers without things done. There is no chair without legs, a seat, a back, wood, nails, the floor on which it rests, the walls that define the room it’s in, the people who constructed it, and the individuals who agree to call it a chair and recognise it as something to sit on. Not only is the existence of things and events utterly contingent but, according to this principle, their very identities are thoroughly dependent upon others.”
He continued to say that: “according to quantum physics nothing exists objectively, which corresponds to Chittamatrin and Madhyamaka views, particularly Nagarjuna’s contention that things only exist by way of designation.”
It’s The Thought That Counts
What he’s talking about is our ability to create our lives intentionally. The Dalai Lama is saying things only exist if we give them a place to exist. How do we assign them a place to exist? Through choice. How does choice arise? Through thought. Again, our thoughts are linked to the creation of our reality, even through the Buddhist lens.
So… if observation, attention, or awareness is the key to creating our reality, we can see how developing a sense of responsibility for our own energy and experiences in life is paramount. You have the choice to become the conscious creator of your reality, versus auto-piloting through life being a victim to your own chaotic circumstances of unconscious creation.
What the creation of your life looks like can be the difference between using a laser focused on its target, and a lamp with no lampshade throwing off light with no aim or intended destination the light (and energy) just goes all over. One use of energy is clean and precise while the other has no focus or intention at all.
Skills
In future posts, I will begin to cover how you can become skilled at intentionally creating your life and increasing your magnetism using your attention as the source of your creative process. We will cover some subjects involving the different energy types available to us for conscious creatorship, and how you can cultivate and harness your creation potential.
Self enquiry: Begin to take stock of the current state of your life.
- What is and is not working for you?
- What do you want to change?
- What do you want it to change to?
- What does your new reality look like?
- And more importantly: What does the new version of your reality feel like?
- What would you love to see and experience in your life?
